Six NWFL teams set to jostle for 2023 Sheroes Cup

Organisers of the 2023 Sheroes Cup have confirmed that six teams will participate at 2023 Sheroes Cup ahead of the pre-season kick-off on Saturday, October 7,
The six participants include five Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership teams and one Championship side which are Ekiti Queens, Edo Queens, Dannaz Ladies, Sunshine Queens, Honey Badgers, and Naija Ratels.
This will be the second edition of the competition which was formerly known as the “Flying Officers Cup”.
Delta Queens edged Edo Queens on penalties to win the last edition of the tournament in 2022.
The first edition was won by Edo Queens before Bayelsa Queens clinched the 2021 edition.
In 2022, it was the turn of FC Queens to take him the title after a 1-0 win over Edo Queens.
The Sheroes Cup is a foremost pre-season tournament organised to test the might of NWFL teams ahead of the coming season slated to kick off on November 15.
