By Wale Mustapha
Former Nigerian international, Victor Moses has been declared wanted by his Russian Premier League club, Spartak Moscow as he failed to resume with the team for their preseason training on Wednesday.
Spartak Moscow resumed training on Wednesday in Tarasovka ahead of the new Premier League season with all players arriving at camp except Moses.
The Russian Cup champions declared the former Super Eagles midfielder missing after he failed to communicate with the club about his absence.
“Midfielder Victor Moses did not arrive at the team’s location,” the statement read on the club website.
“The club finds out the circumstances of this decision. The contract with the Nigerian player is not suspended.”
Moses made a permanent move to Spartak Moscow in 2021 and played a huge role to see the club winning the Russian Cup last season scoring seven goals and assisting nine in 53 outings with the Moscovites.
Moses joined Chelsea in 2012 from Wigan and went on to play 128 times for the Blues, scoring 18 goals, and winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and Europa League.
He also had stints on loan at Liverpool, Stoke, West Ham, Fenerbahce, and Inter Milan during his time with Chelsea.
