“Still work in progress” – Davidson Owumi not getting carried away by IMC praises

Head of Operations, Davison Owumi said it’s “still work in progress” as he resists the urge to get carried away folllowing praises poured on the Interim Management Committee (IMC) over the exciting start to the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The 2022/2023 NPFL season has produced impressive and wonderful results with five away wins after four match days following the changes introduced by the IMC, including paying referees’ improved indemnities.
The laudable decision is paying off with away wins every week and clubs now steam their games with the league also returning to the television (TV) screen.
However, Owumi refuses to claim that the IMC has gotten everything right, promising that they will go tough with any violent team with three points reduction for violent-induced clubs.
“It’s still a work in progress. Yes, many have commented about the good start to the season and the ease with which teams win and draw in away games, but we believe it’s still not yet a ‘ready meal’,” Owumi told Completesports.com.
“We’re still working hard, trying to get things in order to ensure our league matches the same ground with their counterparts out there in Europe,” the former Rangers International forward and CEO concluded.
