Success Makanjuola: Nigerian U23 star leaves Spain for Latvian club FK Leipaja

Captain of Nigerian U23 national team, Success Makanjuola has completed his switch to Latvian top-flight club, FK Liepāja/Mogo from Spanish side CD Diocesano.

Makanjuola, 21, a product of Water FC, apopular Nigerian football academy based in Abuja will hope to continue his development with his new club.

The enterprising footballer had an excellent developmental progress while at Water FC which earned him a place in the U20 national team.

He joined Leganes youth team after his outstanding performance with the Nigeria U20 team at the last FIFA U20 World Cup and had stints with several clubs since leaving Europe, including CD Guadalajara and CD Don Benito.

Makanjuola, who had played a vital role in Nigeria U23 qualifying series is expected to be involved in more competitive outings for his new club to fulfill his decision to make the switch permanent.
