Nigeria’s Suliat Abideen was on target, playing a pivotal role in helping Fomget GSK defeat Galatasaray 4-2 in the final Matchday of the 2024/25 Turkish Women’s Super Lig on Sunday.
She scored the first goal of the match in the 34th minute before Oriana Altuve doubled the advantage.
Abi Kim made it 3-0 in the 39th minute, but a goal from Ina Kristofferson reduced the traveler’s deficit.
Abideen’s compatriot, Oluwatosin Demehin, scored Galatasaray’s second goal in the 52nd minute before Milica Mijatovic restored Fomget’s two-goal lead.
Last season, Chinaza Uchendu won the title with Galatasaray.
Suliat scored seven goals in her debut season for Fomget since joining from Edo Queens.
She successfully won league titles in consecutive seasons in Nigeria and Turkey.
The win sealed Fomget’s second league title in three seasons as they amassed 70 points, two more than Feberbahce.
Fomget GSK thus qualified for the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) next season.
