Arsenal have identified Nigerian international Ademola Lookman as a key transfer target ahead of the summer window, as the club looks to strengthen its squad for a renewed Premier League title challenge.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, the Gunners are closely monitoring the Atalanta winger, with manager Mikel Arteta said to be a keen admirer of Lookman’s creativity and game-changing abilities.
Lookman, who has consistently delivered standout performances in high-pressure matches, has impressed Arsenal’s scouting department. The club views his pace, dribbling, and attacking versatility as valuable assets that could bolster their forward line.
If completed, the move would add depth to Arsenal’s attacking options and signal the club’s intent to reinforce key areas ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 26-year-old’s potential arrival could also offer tactical flexibility as the Gunners prepare for a demanding campaign across domestic and European competitions.
Lookman, a regular for the Super Eagles, has enjoyed a strong season in Serie A and remains under contract with Atalanta, which could complicate negotiations.
However, Arsenal’s interest underlines their ambition to add proven quality to their squad this summer.
