Suliat Abideen strikes again as Fomget smash ALG Spor

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
Nigeria’s Suliat Abideen continued her blistering scoring run for Turkish Super Lig Women’s side Fomget GSK as the defending champions cruised to an emphatic 8–1 victory over ALG Spor on Saturday.
The former Edo Queens captain needed less than a minute to make her mark, firing home the opener to set the tone for Fomget’s dominant display. Rafa Sudre doubled the advantage in the 11th minute before Arzu Karabulut added a third just a minute later.
Rukiye Canbal made it 4–0 in the 17th minute, and Milica Mijatović wrapped up a commanding first-half performance with a 28th-minute strike.
The hosts remained relentless after the break, adding three more goals through Liubov Shmatko, Olha Odviychuk, and Armisa Kuč. ALG Spor managed a consolation effort via Pereira Da Silva, but it did little to dent Fomget’s overwhelming superiority.
Abideen has now scored five league goals this season, underlining her growing importance in the title-defending squad. Fomget sit third on the log with 25 points—two behind Fenerbahçe and five adrift of leaders Galatasaray.
Up next for Fomget is a crucial away fixture against Beşiktaş on December 7, 2025.
