Super Eagles Arrive Marrakech Ahead of AFCON 2025 Quarter-Final Clash with Algeria

Nigeria’s senior men’s national team, the Super Eagles, have arrived in Marrakech ahead of their highly anticipated quarter-final showdown against Algeria at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Head coach Éric Chelle and his squad departed immediately for their team base, the Savoy Le Grande Hotel, after touching down in the Moroccan city.

The three-time African champions are coming off a flawless run in their previous base in Fès, where they won all four of their matches at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.

That impressive sequence included a commanding Round of 16 victory over Mozambique’s Mambas, which sealed their place in the last eight.

Nigeria are expected to waste no time in settling into their new surroundings, with their first training session in Marrakech scheduled for later tonight.

The session is set to begin at 6:00pm local time as preparations intensify for Saturday’s decisive encounter.

Saturday’s quarter-final clash against the Desert Foxes of Algeria will take place at the Stade de Marrakech, with a semi-final berth at stake as two of Africa’s football heavyweights renew their long-standing rivalry.
