Super Falcons arrive Pretoria in Olympic ticket hunt against South Africa

By: Monsurah Olatunji

Nigeria women’s national team have arrived in South Africa for the second leg of their 2024 Olympic Games qualifying fixture against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
The delegation for Tuesday’s all-important match arrived in Pretoria on Monday morning and settled down in their hotel ahead of their official training later in the evening.
Nigeria will take on Banyana Banyana at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium, Pretoria, on Tuesday, at 6:30 pm Nigeria time.
Tuesday’s match is the second of a tie that started in Abuja on Friday with the Super Falcons holding a 1-0 lead.
Randy Waldrum’s ladies will now have to preserve their advantage in the 2nd leg in Pretoria.

Only two teams will represent the continent at the Olympic Games scheduled for Paris this summer in the women’s football event, and as it stands, Nigeria and Morocco have the advantage following victories with the North Africans taking a one-goal advantage back to their home ground against Zambia.
