Nigeria international goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, is optimistic about the future of the Super Falcons, citing the emergence of talented young players as a promising sign for the national team.
Despite a 2-1 loss to France in their recent encounter, Nnadozie remains confident in the squad’s potential, particularly ahead of the next Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Nnadozie believes that the Falcons now have the exposure and qualities necessary to secure the WAFCON title.
“It is the last game of the year, but next year we will continue where we stopped. The goal is to win the WAFCON, and by the grace of God, we will,” Nnadozie said, according to Ojb Sports.
The Paris FC goalkeeper emphasized the progress the team has made in recent years.
“I always say that we have a bright future. It hasn’t been the same over the past four to five years,” she stated.
Nnadozie is confident that the team will continue to thrive, with an abundance of exceptional young talents coming through the ranks.
“We are always moving ahead and growing. We have so many young talents, and I think in the next 20 to 30 years, we will not lack good footballers in this team,” she added.
With the influx of young talent, Nnadozie believes the Super Falcons are well-positioned for long-term success on the continental and global stage.
