Clara Luvanga delivered a standout performance as her brilliant brace powered Al Nassr to a 3–1 victory over Al Hilal in a thrilling Saudi Women’s Premier League (SWPL) encounter featuring some of Africa’s top football talents.
Asisat Oshoala opened the scoring for Al Hilal in the eighth minute, giving her side an early advantage and continuing her fine goalscoring form since joining the club from Bay FC in the summer.
However, Ruth Kipoyi brought Al Nassr level just before halftime, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to restore parity.
After the restart, Luvanga took control of proceedings, firing Al Nassr ahead in the 60th minute before sealing the win deep into stoppage time with a composed finish to complete her brace.
Despite Oshoala’s lively display, Al Hilal failed to convert several key chances, allowing Al Nassr to maintain their composure and secure all three points in the tightly contested derby.
Oshoala’s goal extended her scoring streak in the SWPL, underscoring her continued impact in Middle Eastern football.
