Nigeria forward, Taiwo Awoniyi continued his superb form as he bagged an assist during his English Premier League side, Nottingham Forest’s 1-1 draw with newly promoted Burnley on Monday.
Forest debutant Callum Hudson-Odoi struck a wonder goal at the City Ground to rescue a point against struggling Burley.
Steve Cooper’s side has now scored in 12 straight Premier League games, the team’s longest run since 1995 which has left them sitting pretty in the top half.
Zeki Amdouni netted when Burnley dumped Forest out of the EFL Cup a few weeks back as lightning struck twice for the Swiss youngster when he delivered a half-volley of genuine quality, which arrowed into the bottom corner in the 41st minute.
A great link-up play between Hudson-Odoi and Awoniyi gave the former a clear sight of the goal on the edge of the box.
He doesn’t disappoint and beats the goalkeeper in the top right corner. Lyle Foster looked to have won it for the Clarets when he turned in Sander Berge’s cut-back late on but the goal was ruled out for an offside.
Awoniyi who has scored three goals in five league games this season saw 88 minutes of action before he was replaced by Chris Wood.
His compatriot, Ola Aina played the full 90 minutes for Forest. Up next for Aina and Awoniyi is a tough clash with league-holders, Manchester City on Saturday.
