Taiwo Awoniyi finally joins Nottingham Forest training after visa hitches
By Monsurah Olatunji

Super Eagles star, Taiwo Awoniyi has finally joined Nottingham Forest at their pre-season camp in Spain ahead of Saturday’s friendly against Levante.
Nigerian football reports, Awoniyi and emmanual Dennis were uunable to travel with their teammates for preseason tour due to visa issues.
Awoniyi missed the friendly match against Valencia today whilst he was waiting on his Schengen visa.
Nottingham Forest have been buoyed by the arrival of Taiwo Awoniyi to their pre-season training camp in Spain.
His arrival will provide a welcome boost to Cooper’s training tour after helping them to survive relegation.
The 25-year-old joined the Tricky Trees from Union Berlin in the summer of 2022 for £17 million.
He enjoyed a wonderful maiden campaign at the City Ground finishing as the team’s top goalscorer with 11 goals in all competitions following a blistering May that saw him score six times.
With Forest yet to sign any player, it’s important that Cooper has as many of last year’s team available as possible and Awoniyi is a very important player.
Forest finished 16th in 2022/23 and the English outfit will face a pretty tricky campaign to build on that when the Premier League season gets underway again.
