Nigerian international Ola Aina has reacted with humor and admiration following Mohamed Salah’s contract extension with Liverpool, declaring that Premier League rivals should brace for more trouble from the Egyptian star.
Salah, 32, signed a new two-year deal with the Reds, ending speculation over his future at Anfield.
The announcement was met with widespread reactions, including from Aina, who currently plays for Nottingham Forest and the Super Eagles.
Reacting via social media, Aina tweeted: “Has he signed? Mohamed has signed again. The league is finished. He’s signed on? Everyone’s in trouble.”
Aina has come up against Salah multiple times in the Premier League, winning three of their six encounters. Despite those victories, Salah has managed to find the net three times in those meetings, underscoring his consistent threat on the pitch.
Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has amassed 184 goals and 86 assists in 294 Premier League appearances, cementing his status as one of the league’s all-time greats. He is currently joint fifth on the Premier League’s all-time scorers list, tied with Manchester City legend Sergio Agüero.
Aina’s reaction, though tongue-in-cheek, reflects the respect many defenders hold for Salah, whose pace, finishing, and relentless form continue to make him one of the most feared attackers in world football.
