“This is my office” – Stanley Nwabali celebrates another penalty save in South Africa

By Monsurah Olatunji
Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has stolen the spotlight again as he saved a penalty on return from suspension for Chippa United to reach the semifinal of the Nedbank Cup.
Chippa United defeated TS Galaxy 2-0 on Sunday to reach the Nedbank Cup semi-final in South Africa
The Super Eagles’ safe hands saved Pogiso Sanoka’s penalty late in the game to add another clean sheet to his record.
The former Enyimba shot-stopper is living his Chippa United dream again after being threatened by some South African fans for denying Bafana Bafana passage to the 2023 AFCON final by stopping two of their five penalties in the semi-final of the continental showpiece in Ivory Coast last February.
The 27-year-old took to social media to express his delight at his performance and the win.
“This is my office!! Another clean sheet in the bag, back-to-back Nedbank Cup match wins prior to great team performance. Onto the next round! Chili boys,” he wrote on his Instagram account, accompanied by a video of his impressive penalty save.
