Nigeria forward, Toni Payne scored her first goal of the league campaign as Sevilla FC suffered a 5-1 loss to Madrid CFF on Saturday.

Zambian international, Rachael Kundananji was at the end of Itziar Pinillos’ cross to poke home the opener in the 27th minute.

Two minutes later, the visitors doubled their lead thanks to a goal from Chilean midfielder, Karen Araya off Aidan Esteve Quintero’s pass before Kundananji made it 3-0 in the additional minutes of the first half.

After the interval, Sevilla seemed to activate a comeback as Payne from a tight angle inside the box reduced the deficit for her side three minutes into the second half.

The visitors, eventually laughed as two more goals from Pinillos and Kundananji’s third goal of the game sealed a 5-1 win.

Payne played a full 90 minutes for Sevilla FC as her side recorded their second straight loss in the league.

The team sits in the bottom position on the table without any points after two games.

Up next is a clash with Granadilla Tenerife on October 4, 2023.
