Nigerian defender Ola Aina has expressed his desire to commit his long-term future to Nottingham Forest as he continues to make a significant impact in the English Premier League.
Having established himself as a regular in the Tricky Trees’ lineup, Aina has delivered standout performances week after week.
Arriving at City Ground two seasons ago, Aina is now in the final phase of his contract.
Reports indicate that Nottingham Forest has initiated discussions with his camp for a new contract that includes improved terms. Although Aina is set to become a free agent next summer, the club is eager to secure him for a longer duration, a possibility he is not ruling out.
“All I can say is I am really happy at Forest. It’s a fantastic club, I feel at home, and we’re just building,” Aina told BBC Radio. “I’m building, the club’s building. Let’s just see what happens in the future.”
The 27-year-old has been instrumental for the club, featuring in all four of their Premier League matches this season and showcasing his commitment to both the team and the fanbase.
