Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor is set to revive their pursuit of Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu when the transfer window opens in January.
The Super Eagles’ forward had a stellar loan stint with the Turkish club during the 2023/24 season scoring 17 goals and providing four assists in just 25 league appearances.
Despite his outstanding contributions, Trabzonspor failed to secure Onuachu on a permanent deal as their €7 million offer was rejected by his parent club, Southampton.
Onuachu has since struggled to find playing time at Southampton, managing only 42 minutes across four matches this season.
Trabzonspor are also struggling with goal scoring in the current season which has affected their performance and status on the log.
The 30-year-old initially joined Southampton in January 2023 from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk.
However, with limited opportunities, a move back to Trabzonspor could revitalize his career.
