In a dazzling display of skill and prowess, Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong secured his maiden goal for Bursaspor during their triumphant 4-2 victory against Yeni Malatyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.

Troost-Ekong’s stellar performance unfolded in the 12th minute, as he expertly opened the scoring for Bursaspor, setting the tone for a commanding lead. The first half concluded with Pablo Martin Batalla doubling the advantage on the stroke of 45 minutes.

The second half witnessed an onslaught of goals from Bursaspor, with Jires Kembo-Ekoko securing the third goal in the 48th minute, and Bogdan Stancu adding another on the 63rd minute, propelling Bursaspor to a formidable 4-0 lead.

Khalid Boutaib managed to pull one back for Malatyaspor in the 76th minute, injecting a glimmer of hope. However, Emanuel Dening’s goal in the dying moments of the game was not enough to alter the final score, concluding the match at 4-2.

The victory catapulted Bursaspor to the fourth position in the league standings, amassing nine points and trailing leaders Galatasaray by a margin of four points. Galatasaray currently commands the league with an impressive 13 points.
