Two Nigerian officials, Abdulsalam Kasimu and Mammoud Yakubu, will be part of the officiating team for the 2024 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) WAFU-B Qualifiers, set to take place in Togo from October 17 to 31, 2024.

The duo is among the 16 referees chosen to officiate at the tournament, which serves as the qualifying event for the next U-20 Africa Cup of Nations. The list includes eight referees and eight assistant referees.

In addition to Nigeria, other participating nations have also contributed officials. Benin Republic, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger Republic, Nigeria, and Togo each have two officials on the list, while Guinea and Liberia will be represented by one official each.

The 2024 WAFU-B Qualifiers are crucial in determining the teams that will advance to the U-20 AFCON, making the roles of the selected officials even more significant.
