U17 AFCON: Morocco coach Said Chiba aims victory against Nigeria

By Saheed Afolabi
Morocco U17 head coach, Said Chiba believes the pressure is on Nigeria to advance to the next stage of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal and Adam Hanin were on target as the Moroccoans defeated South Africa 2-0 to go top of the group B on goal difference.
Ahead of second group B game, the Moroccan manager reflected on the win over the South Africans, while assuring his side will be battle ready for the Golden Eaglets.
“We achieved a good victory against a very difficult opponent and one of the teams with the most individually talented players in the competition,” Chiba told CAFOnline.com.
“But, we need to remain focused and know that the tournament has just started. Winning the first game is important because it prepares you for the next matches.
“Now, the pressure is on the other teams (Nigeria and Zambia) when you win. It is still a difficult path for us and we can’t take things easy. We need to step up our level.”
The Moroccans will square up against the Eaglets on the third of May at Constantine and a win for the North African side will guarantee their place in the quarterfinal of the competition.
