U17 Africa Cup of Nations draw: Nigeria to face South Africa, Morocco and Zambia

The Nigeria U17 male national team have been handed a fair group in the 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations draw held at Cercle Nationale d’Armee in Algiers on Wednesday.
The Golden Eaglets were drawn in group B of the U17 AFCON alongside Morocco, South Africa and Zambia.
The city of Constantine will play host to Nduka Ugbade tutored side matches in Algeria, including the other group B teams.
While hosts nation Algeria will battle Somalia, Congo and Senegal in group A.
The tournament is scheduled to hold from 29th of April till the 19th of May 2023 in Algeria as the four teams that will make it to the semifinal will represent Africa at the U17 world cup.
The Wafu B champions will be making their ninth appearance at the U17 AFCON after making their first appearance in 1995 and winning it twice as they tasted glory last in 2007.
Only Nigeria, Cameroon, Gambia, Mali and Ghana have won the U17 AFCON twice and Cameroon are the defending champions.
Nigeria remains the most successful country in the FIFA U17 world cup and are closely followed by Brazil who won the biannual tournament four times.
