U20 Africa Cup of Nations bronze-winning Flying Eagles touchdown Nigeria

The Nigeria U20 men’s national team have arrived in Abuja in the early hours of Monday aboard a Royal Air Maroc flight from Casablanca, Morocco.

The Flying Eagles defeated Tunisia 4-0 on Friday in their third-place playoffs at the Cairo International Stadium as they clinched their fourth Bronze medal in the tournament history.

A total of 21 players and 10 officials were reportedly received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 5 am.

The team led by coach Ladan Bosso are expected to go on break before returning to prepare for the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia in May.

The team will on March 31 in Jakarta know their foes in the first round of the World Cup when the draw for the tournament is staged.
