U23 AFCON Qualifier: Salisu Yusuf announces 18-man squad for Tanzania trip

Head Coach of the U-23 National Team, Salisu Yusuf on Wednesday announced the final list of 18 players that will represent the Nigeria U23 team in their first leg match against Tanzania.
Salisu Yusuf had invited 32 players to the team’s Ibadan camp but 10 players were substituted with their foreign counterparts to fortify the team ahead of this weekend encounter.
The Nigeria team lost scandalously its first friendly match 0-3 against a non League team in Ibadan before playing 1-1 draw with NPFL side.
The 18-man list consists of Former Flying Eagles forward, Success Makanjuola, Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Nathaniel Nwosu, Plateau United’s Christopher Nwaeze, Hezekiah Okirikpo.
Others in the list released on Wednesday, 19th October 2022 includes, Bamaiyi Calocho, Amah John, Dominion Ohaka, Qudus Olamilekan, Evans Ogbonda, Daniel Wotlai, Edidiong Enobong, Munir Idris.
Tanzania will host Nigeria U23 team on Saturday 22nd October, 2022 while the Second leg holds on 29th October at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
The full list Of 18-man players that will travel to face Tanzania in the first leg of CAF U23 African Nations Cup qualifier are:

6. Success Makanjuola – CD Diocesano, Spain.
7. Hezekiah Okirikpo – Dundalk FC, Ireland.
8. Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim – Rangers Int’l.
9. Munir Idris – Niger Tornadoes.
10. Edidiong Enobong Ezekiel – Remo Stars.
11. Daniel Wotlai – Abia Warriors.
12. Christopher Nwaeze – Plateau United.
13. Evans Ogbonda – Akwa United.
14. Qudus Olamilekan Akanni – Remo Stars
