“Growing up my opportunities were limited because of the environment I was born into. Social norms and other cultural factors made it almost impossible to not give up dreams. Many believed that a girl should not kick a football.
“LONG STORY SHORT I didn’t give up regardless of the heat and pressure from people around me. I kept believing in myself and my talent, praying that one day I would not only change the narrative but rewrite my story.
“Today I’m proud of myself and all my accomplishments. Most importantly, grateful that humbled to be an inspiration and role model to all the young girls in my hometown who look up to me in pursuit of my dreams.”
