UEFA Champions League: AC Milan confirms Chukwueze availability for PSG clash

By Wale Mustapha
AC Milan manager, Stephano Pioli has revealed that Nigerian winger, Samuel Chukwueze will be available to make his contribution for the club’s Champions League clash against PSG on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles’ forward has not played for the Rossoneri since injuring his knee while on international duties with Nigeria.
Chukwueze was subbed off in Nigeria’s 2-2 friendly match against Saudi Arabia and was unable to play against Mozambique few days later.
The former Villarreal man has been training with the first team and showed promising signs on Monday making Pioli to select him for the encounter at the San Siro.
The Italian manager however stressed that Chukwueze will be making his contribution from bench as he’s set to start the match with American Christian Pulisic as his preferred first choice right winger.
Pioli told the Milan website that “Pulisic and Chukwueze are fit. Samuel has had fewer minutes after getting injured on international duty.
“I think Christian will start but Samu will be ready to make his contribution,” he said.
Chukwueze is yet to hit the top gear as expected since his arrival from LaLiga as he’s still waiting for his first goal contribution in nine appearances for the Rossoneri.
Tuesday night match will afford him a new chance to reestablish himself as one to be relied on in Milan colors.
