Usman Abdallah aiming to build a formidable Katsina United for NPFL

Technical Adviser of Katsina United has set sight on producing a team that can challenge for honor and title in the coming Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.

The Chanji Boys joined Heartland Kano Pillars and Sporting Lagos in the newly promoted teams from the lower Nigeria National League, NNL season and will be aiming for memorable return to top flight division.

Coach Abdallah who is currently in Lagos with his Katsina United team for the Naija Super 8 tournament admitted he is using the competition to find the right rhythm for his team ahead of new season, adding that his target in Lagos was not to win but will seize the promising moments.

” There is a lot of tiredness and I still have to inject some new players,” Abdallah told media.

“At the same time, it’s not about winning the Super 8, it’s about making a solid team for next season in the NPL,” he concluded.

Katsina United’s next match at the Super 8 is against newly crowned NPFL champions, Enyimba FC on Tuesday.
