Victor Boniface laments vacation experience in Nigeria

By Monsurah Olatunji
Nigeria international Victor Boniface has expressed his frustration after being stuck in traffic while on vacation in Lagos.
The Bayer Leverkusen attacker is back home for his season-end break following an impressive campaign, where he helped his club remain unbeaten in 51 of 52 games, securing their first Bundesliga title, the DFB Pokal, and reaching the UEFA Europa League final.
Boniface returned to Nigeria for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, where the team failed to secure maximum points. Despite this, he has been enjoying his vacation, spending time with fellow Nigerian stars Osimhen and Onyedika.
His break has been filled with various activities, including a boat cruise with Nigerian celebrities Charles Okocha and Cubana Chief Priest, and meeting football legend Obafemi Martins.
Boniface shared his traffic woes on social media, posting on X, “Come Lagos come Lagos na since yesterday I dey traffic,” along with a picture of himself.
As the 23-year-old continues to enjoy his time in Nigeria, he is also preparing for the upcoming season, looking forward to building on his recent successes with Bayer Leverkusen.
