Victor Boniface: Nigerian striker signs contract extension with Bayer Leverkusen

Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has extended his contract with German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen by one year, ensuring his stay at the club until 2029, as reported by Nigeriafootball.ng.

Boniface, who joined Leverkusen from Belgian Jupiler League side Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023, has enjoyed an impressive start to his career in Germany.

The 24-year-old’s new contract sees him become one of the club’s top earners, reflecting his growing importance to the team under manager Xabi Alonso.

Despite significant interest from other clubs, Leverkusen has placed a €50 million price tag on Boniface, making it clear that the Super Eagles forward is “unsellable” at this time.

In his debut season with Leverkusen, Boniface helped the club secure the Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal, marking a highly successful first year in Germany.
