Victor Boniface reveals surgical scars ahead of season kickoff

Nigeria international Victor Boniface has revealed his surgical scars from a muscle-tendon injury sustained in January.

The Super Eagles star recently shared images on social media from his latest training sessions, displaying the prominent scars from the surgery he underwent last season.

Boniface was injured while preparing for the African football showpiece with the Super Eagles in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

After a series of scans, it was determined that he had suffered a muscle-tendon injury. This injury forced him to leave the Nigerian camp and return to his club in Germany for urgent medical attention.

The 23-year-old forward underwent surgery and missed four months of action before returning for his club’s final matches of the season.

His comeback contributed to making Bundesliga history in his debut campaign. The visible scar on his knee in his recent training pictures stands as a testament to his challenging recovery journey.
