Victor Boniface’s goal makes Bundesliga top 5 Goals of the Week

Victor Boniface’s first goal for Bayer Leverkusen in their commanding 5-1 win over newly-promoted Darmstadt has been included in the Bundesliga’s top five Goals of the Week.

The Nigerian scored his second consecutive brace to help his side to a third straight league win of the campaign.

The forward opened the scoring for Bayer Leverkusen in the 21st minute when he received a pass from Jeremie Frimpong in his own half and went on a mazy run.

The former Union Saint-Gilloise forward dribbled past two defenders leading to a stunning individual effort that raised the roof of the BayerArena.

The 22-year-old’s goal made it into the Bundesliga’s top five goals of the weekend alongside Hoffeiham’s Robert Skov, Benjamin Sesko of Leipzig, Dortmund’s Julian Brandt, and Xavi Simons of Leipzig.
