Victor Osimhen among top three forwards in the world – Fabio Capello

Fabio Capello has rated Victor Osimhen as one of the top three best strikers in the world as the former Russia head coach showered praises on the Nigeria superstar after getting the Balon d’Or and FIFA Best nominations.
Victor established himself as one of the most feared strikers in the world to win the highest goal scorer award last season in the Serie A and led Napoli to the league title after 33 years.
He capped up an impressive showing in the 2023 Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers by topping the goal scorers chart with ten goals.
And Capello said he would have been stunned if Osimhen was shunned for the best player awards nominations because of his stellar performance for Napoli last season, while lauding the Partenopei for holding on to the Super Eagles striker considering his impact against opponents.
“I would have been surprised if he hadn’t been included in the international awards (Balon d’Or and FIFA Best),” Capello was quoted by Napoli Magazine.
“Osimhen, for me, is among the top three centre-forwards. Napoli are right to keep them close.”
