Victor Osimhen breaks Cristiano Ronaldo Serie A jump record

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen scored a brace to help Napoli beat Spezia 3-0 on Sunday but he is hugging the headlines for an stunning display in the Serie A encounter.
The 24-year-old forward recorded the highest jump in Serie A history, surpassing the previous record which was held by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Osimhen leaped 2.58 meters into the air to head his first goal and Napoli’s second into the net against Spezia.
Ronaldo set the previous record while playing for Juventus in 2019 away at Sampdoria to score a goal that received widespread attention.
The prince of Naples as called by fans, Osimhen also surpassed his personal best jump record which was 2.52 meters which he set against Torino last season.
However, the world football jump record set by Ugandan defender Bevis Mugabi (2.62m) in the Scottish Championship in January 2021 is yet to be broken.
