Victor Osimhen confirms Iinterest from top clubs after stellar season at Galatasaray

By Wale Mustapha

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has confirmed that several top European clubs are interested in signing him following a highly successful loan spell at Turkish champions Galatasaray.

Osimhen, 26, enjoyed a remarkable 2024/25 campaign, scoring 37 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions. His contributions helped Galatasaray secure both the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup titles.

He also finished the season as the league’s top scorer and was named the winner of the Goal of the Season award.

Speaking during an interview with Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze, Osimhen revealed that while multiple clubs have shown interest, he is in no rush to make a decision.

“It’s always like this when the season ends and the summer transfer window begins,” Osimhen said.

“You have a lot of clubs wanting your services, but right now, I’m focused on my holiday and enjoying myself. I’m also reflecting on my season at Galatasaray — watching my goals, learning from mistakes, and reviewing what I did well.”

The Napoli-owned striker, currently on holiday in Nigeria, has reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal.

Premier League sides Chelsea and Liverpool, as well as Italian giants Juventus, are said to be monitoring his situation. Galatasaray, meanwhile, are hopeful of securing a permanent deal for the Nigerian forward.

Osimhen’s future remains one of the most closely watched transfer stories of the summer window.
