“Victor Osimhen is a true striker” – Italian legend Luca Toni

Former Bayern Munich and Fiorentina striker Luca Toni has hailed Napoli star Victor Osimhen for his goal against Barcelona.
The Nigerian international began life under new coach Francesco Calzona by earning a spirited 1-1 draw with his second-half equalizer against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League last-16 first leg.
The 25-year-old showcased his exceptional skills as he bagged hid first goal since coming back from international duty with Super Eagles at the 2023 AFCON.
His brilliance in scoring the goal is what Toni called ‘a true striker’ goal.
“Osimhen withstood the defender’s impact, protected the ball, turned well, and then in front of the goal, the goalkeeper was wrong-footed,” Toni told Amazon Prime Video as per Tutto Napoli.
“That was a goal from a true striker.”
