Victor Osimhen is crucial to Napoli title charge – Gennaro Scarlato

Former Napoli defender, Gennaro Scarlato has stated that Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen is an important player at the Italian side.
Osimhen has recovered from injury adversaries since joining Napoli from French Ligue 1 side, Lille and currently tops the scorers chart with nine goals from 11 Serie A games for the league leaders.
And the 45-year-old former Napoli defender asserted that the Serie A side can’t afford to let Nigeria forward leave the Italian club.
“It is normal that when there are six to seven important players in a team, the important voice becomes that of the coach, in this case, Spalleti,” Scarlato told Napoli Magazine.
“Osimhen is crucial. I thought that after his injury he would find less space but instead, he immediately regained his place, showing everyone his strength.
“He will be key to Napoli winning the Scudetto. In the Champions League group stage, Napoli was the best.”
Osimhen, 23, has been linked with a possible move away from Napoli but the striker insists he is committed to his current club.
