Victor Osimhen ended an incredible Serie A season with Napoli on Sunday with two individual accolades to his name following a 2-0 win over Sampdoria at Diego Maradona Stadium.
Napoli who have already been crowned champions couple of weeks ago needed to give the fans something to cheer apart from ending over 30 years wait to win the Scudetto.
The Partenopei had to wait till the second half before finding a way through Sampdoria defense when they won a penalty.
It was the Super Eagles forward Osimhen that was employed to take the kick which he expertly dispatched for his 26th Serie A goal of the season.
The former Lille forward was subbed off in the 73rd minutes of the match and his replacement, Giovabni Simeone doubled the lead for the hosts to wrap up an incredible season.
Osimhen’s goal at the match made him become the first-ever African to win the Italian Serie A top scorer award with 26 goals.
The 25 year old also became the African with the most goals in the 125 year history of the competition with 50 goals.
