Red-hot Nigeria international striker Victor Osimhen scored twice in Napoli’s 2-2 draw against Bologna.
The Partenopei took the lead after just 14 minutes when Osimhen took advantage of a wrong pass from goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski to make it 1-0 to the visitors.
Napoli went into the halftime break with the lead and Osimhen continued from where stopped to get his second goal less than ten minutes after the restart with a lovely finish from Bartosz Bereszynski’s through pass.
The game was Osimhen’s 100th appearance across all competitions for Napoli.
The 24-year-old now has four goals ahead of Lautaro Martinez on the league’s goalscorers’ chart and is on course for a golden boot triumph.
When all seems well and done for Napoli, Bologna were unwilling to end their final home game of the season in defeat.
Goals from Lewis Ferguson and substitute, Lorenzo De Silvestri in the 63rd and 84th minute ensured that the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Super Eagles star has now taken his tally to 25 goals in the 2022/23 Serie A campaign.
