Victor Osimhen sees red in Rome as Napoli bow to AS Roma

Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen saw red in Napoli 2-0 loss to AS Roma at the Stadio Olympico, Rome.
The Super Eagles forward was given his marching orders after receiving his second yellow card in the 84th minute to warrant a red card which reduced the Partenopei to nine players.
Both sides played a goalless draw in the first 45 minutes.
The Partenopei were reduced to ten men when Politano got sent off in the 66th minute which affected Napoli’s possession in the encounter.
Osimhen went into the books of the referee as he received his first yellow card of the game in the 73rd minute.
Both sides kept pushing for a goal in the game and in the 76th minute, Pellegrini gave the host the lead.
In an unlucky moment, Osimhen got his second yellow card of the evening following a tackle from behind which results in the referee sending the Nigeria international off the pitch.
The numerical strength of Roma gave them the edge in the game as Romelu Lukaku netted their second goal in the 90th minute to clinch a memorable victory over Napoli.
The Partenopei are with 27 points from 17 matches and seat on the seventh position in the Italian league table.
Napoli will square up against Monza on Friday, December 29 in their nest league game.
