Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has called on his Galatasaray teammates to maintain their focus following a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Friday night.
The Nigerian striker, who scored the equalizing goal for Okan Buruk’s side, acknowledged that the team lacked intensity in the first half but emphasized the importance of staying focused for the rest of the season.
“There was a bit of a lack of intensity in the first half. We let the opponent play a bit,” Osimhen told Galatasaray’s official website.
“Then, with the speech of our coach, we started the second half very well. We also increased the intensity, we focused a lot on our game. These matches are difficult. We need to maintain our focus.”
Osimhen also highlighted the importance of taking full advantage of every opportunity, as the team missed several chances during the match.
“We need to take advantage of every opportunity. We missed many opportunities. We will try to do better by learning from our mistakes,” he added.
The 25-year-old has been in impressive form this season, with 14 goals and assists across all competitions for Galatasaray, and remains a key player as they continue their league campaign.
