Victor Osimhen wins best foreign athlete award in Italy

Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has been named the best foreign Athlete of the Year in Italy following his monstrous form in the Italian Serie A this season.
The Napoli forward, who is attracting a lot of interests from a hosts of top clubs in Europe, scooped the award after netting 19 goals in 20 matches plus three assists.
Osimhen had joined Napoli from French Ligue 1 side Lille in the summer of 2020 and since then, has established himself as one of the top goal poachers in the world with his breathtaking performances for Italian giants.
The 24-year-old made his first appearance in Europe for VFL Wolfsburg in 2017 and played for two-years without finding the back of the net in 14 appearances.
The striker, however, found his scoring touch in Belgium as he starred for Charleroi and scored 12 goals in 25 appearances, opening door for his switch to French topflight side, Lille.
During his stint at Lille, he announced himself as top striker, netting 13 goals in 27 games and became a subject of interest from top clubs before finally sealing a move to Napoli in 2020.
In Napoli, the Nigeria forward established himself as the toast of top football personalities with his magnificent performances, scoring 43 goals in 72 games, while on international scene, he has scored 15 goals in 22 appearances.
