WAFU-B Cup: Nigeria departs for Lome for U20 AFCON Qualifying Championship

Nigeria’s U-20 men’s national team will depart for Lome, Togo on Tuesday to compete in the WAFU B U-20 Championship.
The Flying Eagles, as the team is known, have been in intense final preparations at a training camp in Ikenne ahead of the tournament.
As the defending champions, Nigeria will head to Togo two days before the competition kicks off. The tournament begins on Thursday, October 17, with the host nation Togo facing Benin Republic in the opening match.
Nigeria’s first match will be against Burkina Faso at the Stade Municipal on Friday, October 18. The team will also face Cote d’Ivoire on October 24 to complete their group-stage fixtures in a three-team Group B.
