WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup: Chris Danjuma invites 30 players to Falconets camp

30 players have been invited to the camp of Nigeria women’s U20 national team by Coach Christopher Danjuma to begin preparations ahead of next month’s WAFU B U20 Women’s Championship taking place in Ghana.
Notable among the invited players were drafted from the team that participated at the last FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup quarter-finalists in Costa Rica and eight from the bronze medal-winning Flamingos at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India.
Goalkeeper Faith Omilana, defenders Blessing Sunday and Miracle Usani, midfielders Esther Onyenezide and Taiwo Afolabi, and forwards Opeyemi Ajakaye and Flourish Sebastine are standout names from the pack.
The WAFU B U20 Women’s Tournament will take place in Ghana between 20th May and 4th of June, 2023.
The invited players are expected to arrive at the Serob Hotel, Wuye, Abuja on Sunday, 30 April.
