Wasiu Jimoh’s late strike lifts Kwara United past Bayelsa Queens

Kwara United secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bayelsa United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter on Saturday.
The Harmony Boys struggled to gain momentum in the first half, with Wasiu Alalade missing two scoring opportunities.
However, a tactical adjustment in the second half paid off, as substitute Wasiu Jimoh scored the decisive goal in the 78th minute.
Head coach Tunde Sanni acknowledged the team’s slow start but praised their resilience.
“We missed some key players today, but I’m satisfied with the team’s performance. We will keep improving.”
The win propels Kwara United to 7th place with 35 points from 24 games.
Kwara United will face a tough test in their next game as they travel to have a date with league leaders, Remo Stars, at Ikenne on Thursday.
