Watford offers positive update on Samuel Kalu’s injury spell

By Saheed Afolabi
Nigeria international Samuel Kalu is scheduled to return from injury mid March, according to his club, Watford.
The Nigeria forward has been out of action since picking up an hamstring injury in Watford’s game against Norwich City in January and the 25-year-old has been on the sidelines since joining the Hornets from Bordeaux a year ago.
According to a statement from the club, injury-ravaged Kalu is closer to a perfect shape again in coming days.
“Samuel Kalu expects to be back with the group in two weeks, stepping up his return from the hamstring injury picked up in early January,” Watford said via its website.
The Super Eagle has appeared nine times for The Hornets this season and he’s yet to get on the scoresheet.
The Hornets are ninth on the Sky Wager Championship table with 51 points from 35 matches as they set a date with QPR on the 11th of March 2023.
