The Flying Antelopes held on the slim margin to secure the win that saw them maintain the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League table after the Matchday 30 encounter.
Relieved to see his players navigate the difficult end of the encounter, Ilechukwu stressed the need for early conversation of chances to avoid unfortunately outcomes.
“It was a good game going by the result as the three points matter a lot at this time of the season but we made a lot of errors and we could done better with burying the game in the first half,” the former MFM manager told the club’s media.
”We shall keep working on the noticed lapses to make necessary corrections before our next fixture.
We remain positive going into the weekend’s encounter against continental side, Rivers United.”
The Coal City club have garnered 54 points from 30 games retaining the top spot and will be taking on Rivers United in their next game.
