“We did the unthinkable against Wikki Tourist” – Niger Tornadoes’ David Okoromi

Niger Tornadoes forward David Okoromi has expressed his delight as Niger Tornadoes 2-0 win over Wikki Tourist.

Idris Saidu gave Niger Tornadoes the lead in the 74th minute from a sumptuous freekick and a 76th minute goal from Musa Wakili condemned Wikki Tourist to a painful opening day defeat in Bauchi.

Tornadoes goal poacher Okoromi has described the win as the best day of his life, while assuring that his side are ready to push for the league diadem this season.

“I’m so happy today, I don’t know how to express my joy because this is the best day of my life, now the league is getting better,” he told media.

“You can come to away game and have confidence that you are taking three points and that’s what we did, I’ve already said it that we have a good team that we are ready to push forward.

“We fought to get the three points, our aim is the NPFL super 6 and we are going to take it.”
