‘We made the right choice’ – Plateau United boss defends Magnut’s appointment

Habila Mutla, General Manager of Plateau United has disclosed that the club made the right choice in appointing Mbwas Mangut as the head coach of the Nigeria Premier Football League team.

Mangut was appointed at the start of the current NPFL season after the departure of Fidelis Ilechukwu from the club.

The Peace Boys have maintained 100 percent home records so far and hasn’t done bad on the road with three home wins, one draw, and three defeats in seven games under the tutelage of Mangut.

Mutla who confirmed the club’s positive rise and in good stead under the former Nigerian international believed future is assured of the team.

“We have set ourselves a target at the start of the NPFL season, which we have begun to realise,” Mutla told Plateau United media.

“We still have quality away matches to play but the best of our team is yet to be seen. The team is almost in shape because of our philosophy and what we believe in.

“Looking at the Nigerian coaches, I know we have not made a mistake in bringing back Mbwas Mangut to the club, I believe we made the right choice in him.”

Plateau United are currently eighth on the NPFL log with 10 points from seven games.
