‘We will need to work’ – Baba Ganaru rues Lobi Stars’ profligacy after Wikki Tourists loss

Muhammed Baba Ganaru, Technical Adviser of Lobi Stars has bemoaned his side’s profligacy in front of goal in Wednesday’s Nigeria Premier Football League defeat tp Wikki Tourists.
Lobi Stars had their six match unbeaten streak in the league halted by Wikki Tourists on Wednesday following a 2-1 defeat in Bauchi no thanks to a brace from captain, Idris Guda rendering a spectacular striker from Abba Umar as consolation for the Pride of Benue club.
The Markudi Bombers missed several chances to level the game in the second half with Barnabas Imenger Jnr as major culprit of those opportunities and Ganaru who still hailed his team for the spirited performance.
“Generally, it was a good match, the boys played very well and I commend them, they showed a very good character and discipline both in defense and attack,” he told media.
“We lost so many good chances to comeback after conceding an early penalty, after that we fought back to get a comeback but it was not meant to be, we will need to work on our conversions because it will determine how the season will go for us.”
Lobi Stars are still leading Group B with 16 points from eight matches and they will round up the first round of the abridged league with home fixture against Doma United in Jos.
