‘We will try to improve’ – Kabiru Dogo demands more from Kwara United attackers
By Wale Mustapha
Newly appointed Technical adviser of Kwara United, Kabiru Dogo has tasked his players to raise their games in a bid to turn their dismal Nigeria Premier Football League season around.
The Harmony Boys were again forced to a goalless draw by Remo Stars on Wednesday and coach Dogo’s first game in charge after he was appointed to replace Azeez Mohammed who left the club few days ago.
Kwara United have won only one of their eight matches in the current season – lost three in the process and drew four with only two goals scored.
Dogo who seems to have identified the missing link in his new team noted that the team is rich in quality as reflected in the match but will have to improve on their performance, especially goal scoring.
“The boys gave good account of themselves, even though we would have loved to win this match, especially as we dominated play,” the former Lobi Stars coach told media.
“We will try to improve on the areas and we have identified as problems for the team, especially in the attack.”
Kwara United currently sit in eighth position on the log in Group A with just six points. The Harmony Boys will conclude their first round fixtures with a clash against bottom placed El-kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri.
